Fox Sports to fund $50, 000 renovation of Essipong stadium

Headline sponsor for the upcoming WAFU tourney, Fox Sports, has pledged to fund the $50,000 renovation cost of the Essipong Sports stadium. The package will see the major sponsoring the rehabilitation of the Western region based sports complex ahead of the upcoming WAFU tourney.

The whopping amount will see the Essipong given a massive facelift to meet international standard so as to stage a successful championship. The pitch will host eight nations in the September 9-24 tournament including Ghana’s opening knock out match against the Gambia.

The Essipong Stadium was built in 2008 as part of the new stadia for the CAN 2008.
