Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Steve Pollack, has lauded his team’s fighting spirit after their 1-1 draw against Accra Hearts of Oak in a match-day 23 outstanding fixture played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Kotoko striker Saddick Adams converted from the penalty spot to cancel out Kwame Kizito’s superb goal for Hearts in a fascinating Super Clash which lived up to the hype.
According to Pollack, considering all the misfortunes that befell them over the past few weeks, he was impressed with the desire and the attitude of the players and was elated with the result.
“Am happy with the attitude of the players after was has been going and am proud of them, their attitude and desire, especially in the second half, was good. I’m proud to be
their manager and proud to be part of the Kotoko family.
“It was always going to be a difficult match but am happy we didn’t lose,” Pollack said in a post-match presser.
