Ho, April 28, GNA - The Volta Regional Football Association has released the fixtures for the Second Division Middle league for the 2003 season kicks which is expected to kick-start at Juapong on Wednesday 28th April 2004.
The eight teams participating in the league have been divided into two groups with teams from Juapong, Aflao, Nkwanta, Agbozume, Ho, Dabala, Keta and Kpando featuring in the five-day event.
The Group "A" teams comprise Juantex F/C of Juapong, VR Royals F/C of Aflao, Surgicals F/C from Nkwanta and Weavers F/C of Agbozume are to honour their matches at the Kalakuta Park.
Volta Great Barons F/C of Ho, Tongu Fruits F/C from Dabala, Sandlers F/C of Keta and Amali Stars F/C from Kpando are placed in Group "B" to honour their matches at the E.P. Park.
According to the fixtures, the opening matches of Group "A" on Wednesday, April 28 would feature Surgicals F/C against Weavers F/C while Juantex play against VR Royals F/C.
In Group "B", Barons F/C and Tongu F/C would sort things out to be followed by Sandlers F/C versus Amali Stars on the same day. The group matches would end on Friday, April 30 to be followed on Saturday May 1 by the semi-final matches involving the winner of Group "A" against the runners-up in Group "B" while the winner of Group "B" will face the Runners-up of Group "A".
The final match involving winners of the semi-final matches would come off on Sunday May 2 at the Kalakuta Park.
