Final Whistle SC could seal a sensational promotion to the Division One League for the first time in the club’s history, should they maintain their outstanding unbeaten run after four matches.

Nathaniel Lamptey’s side pipped Asooya FC by a goal to nil last week and they now sit three points clear of second-placed team Spartans FC in the Zone Four of the Greater Accra Division Two League.

The Amasaman based club were not given a dot chance by connoisseurs of the game prior to the start of the league, but the team led by its Chairman and bankroller Fredrick Oduro will be hoping to make the most of their first real chance to secure qualification.

Fredrick Nana Oduro in an exclusive interview with this reporter in Accra said, “This is a great project and I like the way the team plays. The club has ambition, as I do. That’s what I really like; and the fact that the playing body is committed to secure promotion”.

Nana Oduro says the club’s firm decision to stick with its youth policy and the massive investment in training facilities have been the driving force over the years, stressing “the team is desperate to get promotion no matter what”.

"It's a wonderful position to be in and one would not have expected us to be at this stage of the season," he added.

While commending the technical team for a yeoman’s job after the team comfortably secured promotion from the third tier last year, Chairman Oduro also commended teaming supporters of the club.

“We are in a great city, a great fan base, an amazing squad, and hopefully on the pitch, we will do the city and our supporters proud.

“The team has got a fantastic coach in the person of Nathaniel Lamptey. He gets a huge amount of credit from me. Everyone is impressed with the job he's done at the club,” Chairman Oduro said.

Final Whistle SC currently sit at the summit of the Zone Four of the Greater Accra regional Division Two League with 12 points after 4 games.

Spartans FC, Legon FC, Validus FC, Asooya FC, Platinum FC, Barbarossa, Westland FC and In God We Trust FC follow in that order.
