Egyptian top-flight side Al Ittihad Alexandria have agreed a loan deal with Hearts of Oak for Isaac Mensah.
The two clubs are understood to have concluded talks over the transfer of the diminutive winger.
“We have agreed a deal with the Egyptian club after they sent us their offer,” a source close to the Accra giants told Ghanacrusader.com
“It is a loan move, everything has been concluded we are waiting for the cash from them and the player will be released.”
The source, however, confirmed that the 21-year-old wide man who has a year left in his contract has signed a new one year deal ahead of his move.
“Isaac Mensah has signed another year, he already has a year left in his contract.
We took that decision because if he goes to Egypt and after his loan deal he will be a free agent so we decided to extend his contract so after his loan spell he will still be Hearts of Oak player,” the source added.
