Hearts of Oak will be leaving the shores of Accra on Saturday morning for Tamale by air, the club’s Team Manager Sabbah Quaye has confirmed.
The Phobians will be facing their arch-rivals Kotoko on Sunday at the Tamale Sports Stadium in the final of the MTN FA Cup.
“We will leave Accra for Tamale by air on Saturday morning,” Quaye told Ghanacrusader.com in an interview.
“My wish is that we leave by road so after beating Kotoko for the trophy we will come and celebrate in Kumasi, but the management has decided and we will leave by air. We will surely return to Accra with the trophy.”
The last time the Phobians won the FA Cup was 17 years ago when they defeated Okwawu United 2-0.
Meanwhile, referee Latif Adaari has been handed the mantle to officiate the finals of the FA Cup final between the two giants.
