Bankroller of Tema Youth Wilfred Osei Kweku Palmer is optimistic of his outfit making a swift return to the Ghana Premier League following their demotion to division one in the just ended campaign.

The Harbour Boys suffered relegation from the elite division last term following an underwhelming season where they finished 15th on the standings with just 37 points after 30 round of games.

But during an interview with Accra-based Happy FM, Osei Palmer expressed his belief that his side will quickly bounce back from the doldrums.

"I'm not wailing about our relegation from the Premier League. I will surely bounce back because I don't easily give up in life," Osei Palmer reiterated on Happy FM.

"I can compete in division one for 30 years but as long as I'm selling players I wouldn't have anything to worry about because after all how much did I spend on the team in the Premier division. You take it like I spent GHC8 billion in the Premier League but on my balance sheet, I've made more than that, so why would I give up?"

"I loaned out my prized asset, Joseph Paintsil in the 24th week of the league, and I'm going to benefit from him until he quits playing football because he's a Tema Youth player. So, when I see people celebrating my demotion to the second-tier league it makes me laugh out loud," Osei Palmer deduced.

Meanwhile, Tema Youth are looking to appoint a new trainer for their division one campaign following the departure of coach Edward Nii Odoom at the end of the just ended season.
