Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender Ahmed Adams has confirmed contract extension talks with the club, insisting negotiations was fruitful.
The stalwart defender has been the pillar in the Reds defense helping the club to the FA Cup triumph last season.
Following his tremendous performances last season, the club have move to tie the player down as they seek to challenge for the CAF Confederations Cup next season.
According to the player, the contract extension was ongoing and he is confident of staying beyond the just ended season.
“I will say talks have been fruitful, I will definitely extend my contract,” Adams told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM.
“I’m staying at Kotoko, I’m not going anywhere,” he added.
Ahmed Adams joined kotoko from Al Shoala from Sundan.
The 24 year old has since been a core in the Kotoko set up.
