Coach Smith masterminded the historic league qualification of Karela FC from Division One
Coach Johnson Smith has signed a two-year contract extension with newly-promoted Ghana Premier League side Karela United FC.
The Nzema-based side announced the deal as Smith prepares to take the team on a pre- season tour this month .
Smith was in charge and masterminded their historic Premier League qualification from Zone II of the Division One League last season.
''I am very happy to have signed a new contract with Karela United FC. We worked extremely hard in our first season to achieve something amazing and I am very proud of it being the head of technical team,'' Smith told the club's official website.
Smith has rich coaching experience, having served as assistant coach at Asante Kotoko and also handed Sekondi Eleven Wise and Bibiani Gold Stars.
