Former Great Olympic player and Head Coach, Godwin Attram says he wants to take his time in making a decision about taking charge of the club in Division One.

The Agosu Boys were relegated alongside Tema Youth and Bolga All Stars after the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League, a season after they returned with Attram as the Head Coach.

However, the Board of Directors of the club in a bid to save the team from relegation brought on board, Swedish coach, Tom Strand to help out, an action that later failed.

Attam together with some Olympics supporters initially protested the idea of adding Strand to the technical team, but after several consultations, both coaches worked together but the harm had already been done.

Tom Strand resigned even before the season ended and Attram reverted to his earlier position. In a chat with FootballMadeInGhana.com, he said though some directors of the club are pleading that he returns next season, he will have to think about it well before accepting or rejecting their offer.

“You all know the circumstances under which we were relegated. Indeed, I told the big men that our problem wasn’t about coaching. The players needed motivation and a few things but they thought otherwise. [They] brought in another coach but we were still relegated.

“We are still talking among ourselves to see the way forward for Great Olympics. For now, I can’t say that I will be coaching them or not, though nobody has said otherwise. But I need to think through it before making that decision again.”

“My family went through a lot last season, because of Great Olympics. So, I want to be very careful this time about making a decision.”

For Attram, he will always love the club and will always be part of it, but according to him, “The right things must be done and done professionally and Great Olympics will be back to its glorious days”.
