Leading sports betting company, Betway has sealed sponsorship deals with three Ghana Premier League clubs.
The betting firm has now increased its partnership with Ghanaian football clubs to four, with Aduana Stars, Liberty Professionals and Medeama being the latest addition to AshantiGold.
The deal will see Betway become the official headline sponsor of the three clubs.
Speaking at an unveiling ceremony in Accra on Thursday, February 1, the Country manager in charge of marketing at Betway Ghana, Kwabena Oppong Nkrumah explained that his outfit decided to sponsor three clubs to demonstrate their commitment to the development of football in Ghana.
He averred that the impressive strides made by Aduana Stars, Liberty Professionals and Medeama convinced Betway to partner them and that he is hopeful the union will stand the test of time.
“If you look at these clubs you will see that these are clubs with history and they have contributed greatly to the development of football. If you look at Liberty, they have produced some of the biggest names in Ghana football. Medeama have been very consistent in our football. Aduana entered the league and won in their first season and are the current champions of the league. These are clubs with lots of pedigree and history and they are a good marker for development. So if you look at what we are doing with AshGold you will know that things will get better”, he said.
Representatives from the three clubs expressed gratitude to Betway, adding that the partnership will boost their activities in the upcoming season.
