Aduana Stars defeated Al Tahaddy of Libya 2-0 at the newly-renovated Agyemang Badu park to book a place in the next round of the 2018 CAF Champions League.
Second half goals from Elvis Opoku and Derrick Sasraku were enough to see Aduana Stars through to the next round, having lost the first leg by a lone goal in Egypt.
The Ghana Premier League champions dominated the game from the blast of the whistle but failed to convert opportunities in the first half.
The Ogya Boys returned from the break with a lot of firepower and by the 53rd minute, Elvis Opoku had scored the first goal.
With the aggregate scoreline being 1-1, Al Tahaddy threw more men forward to find a goal but Aduana’s defence did not budge.
Derrick Sasraku gave Aduana the needed cushioning in the 73rd minute by finishing off a beautiful team goal.
Aduana Stars will face the winner of the tie between ES Setif of Algeria and Olympique de Bangui of Central African Republic.
