Black Queens to arrive today after WAFU triumph

The Black Queens of Ghana are expected to arrive in Ghana on Sunday evening after defeating hosts Cote d’ Ivoire in the finals of this year’s WAFU Women’s Cup of Nations.

The gallant Queens annexed the maiden edition of WAFU Zone B women’s tournament after edging their Ivorian counterparts 1-0 courtesy a Janet Egyir who delivered a superb solitary strike.

This is the second major trophy for the senior women’s team having won the All Africa Games in 2015.

The anticipated time for arrival is 9pm local time.
