Aduana Stars winger, Zakaria Mumuni, has reiterated the need to vigorously prepare for their trip to Algeria, as they face ES Setif in the second leg of the CAF Champions League final qualifying round.
Aduana Stars have a slim advantage heading into the second leg on 17th March, after edging past their Algerian counterparts 1-0 last Wednesday in Dormaa.
But Mumuni who was adjudged man-of-the-match in that match has stated their determination to get a positive result in Algeria which would secure them a spot in the next round despite the quality of the ES Setif side.
“The game wasn’t easy, we expected to score more but that is the game of football but the win was important so that we could prepare very well for the second leg.
“I’m hopeful we can eliminate them, we can go to Algeria and get good results and approach the game with all seriousness but ES Setif is a good side with lots of experienced players,” Mumuni said in a post-match interview.
Mumuni also rallied for support as they look to fly high the flag of Ghana on the African continent.
“I will entreat Ghanaians to support us ahead of the second leg and I assure them we will make Ghana proud,” Mumuni ended.
