New Accra Hearts of Oak signing Evans Quao says he is ready to help the club win some trophies, after nine years without a major silverware.
The defender joined the Accra based side from their bitter rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko and says he is ready for the new chapter in his career.
The former Premier League champions want to return to the top of Ghana Football once again and Quao believes he can help the club win some trophies next season.
“I am very glad today and excited about this unveiling because it is the first time in my career that I went through such a ceremony. Normally, it does not happen this way,” Quao told accraheartsofoaksc.com
“I am joining the club that I want to play and because of where I am coming from, I feel this move is a big challenge to me. I am coming to Hearts to face the challenge so the fans should expect more from me.
“Wherever I go, I make sure I win medals and I am eager to win medals with Hearts. If I play and I do not get anything to show for it, I am not happy so this is a challenge and I have accepted it – to help Hearts win the league. I am coming on board with a lot of ambition; I am going to work hard to help the team win laurels.”
“From the first day we came to the training grounds, I was excited with the way I gelled with the players and the team manager and even the fans present. I have not gelled fully with the team but as time goes on, you’d see more than what you are seeing now.”
The strong defender is expected to replace Vincent Atinga who left the club at the end of last season.
