George Afriyie has revealed that the Ghana Football Association(GFA) president Kwesi Nyantakyi solely took the decision to sack him as GFA vice president and not the Executive Committee.
Last week, the Gana FA official Twitter announced that the Executive Committee of the association has taken the decision to dimsiss Afriyie.
But in reply to that Tweet, Afriyie said:
“The Tweet by the FA had it wrong, the Executive Committee had nothing to do with my sacking,” he said on Asempa FM.
“Kwesi Nyantakyi soley took the decision to sack me. At the Executive Committees’s meeting last week, a member said because of my frosty relationship with the FA president he thinks i should be dismissed, and the president without consultating the members said that because of the power vested in him, I seized to be the vice president.”
