Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko has allayed fears of their fans as he believes the recent major in the club will yield soon.

The Porcupine Warriors were all over in the news in the weeks gone by following management decision to terminate the contracts of four players as well as transfer listed two players.

The sacked players include deputy skipper Eric Donkor, Edwin Tuffour, Yakubu Mohammed and Frank Sarfo Gyamfi while striker Sadick Adams and defender Seth Opare will be transferred from the club after being told they are no longer part of the club’s plans.

Speaking for the first time on what the Porcupine supporters describe as a 'disturbing' issue, CEO of the club, Dr Kwame Kyei, says though the decision to annul the contracts of the aforementioned players was not from his end, he believes in the technical acumen of coach Samuel Paa Kwesi to make the club a major force again.

"I can't do selection its the coach that does, so what has happened with player transfer it's the coach let's all wait to see what happens," Dr Kyei told Oyerepa FM.

"I'm confident things will turn around for the best."

"Team building is not easy and not a day's job."

"I will have no problem if we are not able to win the league trophy this season but the future is bright."
