President of Ghana’s Normalisation Committee Dr Kofi Amoah is attending the Confederation of African Football’s Emergency General Assembly in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
The head of the former FIFA/CAF Liaison Team arrived in the Sinai Peninsula along with committee member Naa Odofoley Nortey on Saturday and both took part in the event on Sunday.
Decision-makers of CAF have converged in CAF’s headquarters to elect an English Speaking African representative on the FIFA Executive Council.
The slot became vacant after former President of the Ghana FA Kwesi Nyantakyi was suspended by FIFA from his all positions in football following a scandalous expose by journalists.
Nyantakyi subsequently resigned from all his positions in football.
The football governing body on Sunday elected the President of Malawi's FA, Walter Nyamilandu, as a FIFA Council member for Africa's Anglophone region
Dr Amoah has been installed as head of the Normalisation Committee instituted by FIFA to restore normalcy and introduce reforms into Ghana football.
