Hello and welcome to live coverage of this Premier League match as Tottenham welcome Cardiff City to Wembley Stadium!
Back-to-back victories have helped Spurs back into the top four of the Premier League, but it’s only a small silver lining for Mauricio Pochettino’s side who suffered another defeat in Champions League in midweek.
Spurs have largely stumbled through the last five weeks and now have been hit by the injury but just as their schedule gets tough. Three points are essential today against Cardiff as their next six matches involve tough trips to West Ham, Wolves, Palace and Arsenal, and home dates with Manchester City and Chelsea.
Three points would be nice for Cardiff, but frankly anything would do for Neil Warnock at the moment as they remain stuck at the bottom of the Premier League table having picked up just two points in seven matches, losing each of their last four.
Warnock will be hoping Spurs’ mentally and physically tolling duel with Barcelona in midweek will benefit his side in one way or another, as opposed to serving as motivation for the hosts to get back to their winning ways before the international break.
