Nathaniel Asamoah believes a move abroad will help young players
FC Banants striker Nathaniel Asamoah has advised young Ghanaian players to move abroad for better career development should they get the opportunity.
Inusah Musah, Isaac Mensah, Patrick Razak of Hearts of Oak, Emmanuel Boateng of Aduana Stars are some of the latest players to leave the shores of the country to play their trade elsewhere.
Asamoah, 28, has represented Wa All Stars, Asante Kotoko, Medeama and Aduana Stars in the Ghanaian championship but has also played professional football abroad for such clubs like Red Star Belgrade in Serbia, Raja Casablanca in Morocco and currently at Armenian side FC Banants.
“My advice to Ghanaian players is that football is all about money. For the young players, if they get the opportunity to go to Europe at visionary and purposeful clubs they should go. They shouldn’t waste their time in Ghana.” Asamoah said on Kumasi-based Silver FM.
“Because football is taught in Europe and when you go at a younger age , it is the best because there will be more time to learn the game well. In Ghana excuse me to say it, our football system is really bad” the striker stated.
Nathaniel Asamoah helped Aduana Stars to the 2017 Ghana premier league title before Armenian side FC Banants came for his services.
