Game Boy and Moses Paulus make weight ahead of Saturday’s title fight

Ghana’s undefeated Lightweight champion, Emmanuel Tagoe popularly known as Game Boy and his Namibian opponent, Moses Paulus both made the weight ahead of their anticipated WBO Africa title fight at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday.

Game Boy who is undefeated in his rank weighed 160 pounds whiles Moses Paulus weighed a little over 160 pounds to set the fight in motion for tomorrow.

Game Boy has promised to showcase his new style of boxing in the upcoming fight after receiving heavy backlash from Ghanaian’s in his last fight against Fernando David Saucedo in January 2018. Game Boy has a record of 28 fights winning 14 by way of knockout.

However, Moses Paulus says he understands why Game Boy is able to command fans to his bouts but the storyline would change when he knocks out Game Boy at the Bukom Arena.

At Age 40, Paulus is approaching this 41st fight a whopping record of 25 knockout wins with just 4 defeats.

Moses Paulus lost his last fight against Raymundo Beltran in a bout that most pundits thought he was going to win but got defeated via a unanimous point decision at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada in the United States of America.

The fight night which is being promoted and organized by Asamoah Gyan’s BabyJet Promotions pulled a huge crowd to the Arena who offered their unwavering support to the undercard boxers.



In the supporting bouts, Micheal ‘One Bullet Ansah put up 133 pounds whiles Sherif Quaye weighed 134 pounds. Former Ghanaian National pugilist, Malik Jabir scaled 128 pounds whiles Micheal Papoe weighed 128.4. BabyJets Promotions new signee, John Laryea weighed 127 whiles Emmanuel Laryea put up 123 pounds. Kpakpo Allotey and Robert Quaye weighed 137.2 and 140 respectively. Aziz Quartey scaled 148 whiles Rafael King 146.

A special fight between Ayitey Powers versus Baba Spirit has been lined up to bring comic relief to the supporters. Bukom Banku has been named the official ring announcer of the night.
