VITV to telecast Isaac Dogbe/Emanuel Navarrete fight

Volta One Television (V1TV), a Ho-based free-to-air television station is to carry live feed of the fight between Isaac “Royal Storm” Dogboe and Emanuel Navarette to viewers in Ghana and across the globe from the Madison Square Gardens in New York, United States of America (USA) on December 8, 2018.

Mrs. Dzifa Attivor, Chief Executive Officer of the Television Station announced this at a press conference in Ho in support of Dogboe.

The fight, is Dogboe’s first return to the ring after demolishing Japan’s Hidenori Otake in the first round on August 25 in Glandale, Arizona.

It offers the reigning World Boxing Organisation (WBO) World Super Bantamweight Champion, Dogboe, the opportunity to defend his title and climax a successful 2018.

“We are proud of Dogboe and it is just good that we support the team and celebrate his victory Sunday dawn,” Mrs Attivor said.

She said the decision to broadcast the bout was to offer Ghanaians the opportunity to follow the success story of Dogboe and rally support for his victory.

Mr Paul Mensah Anku, a Senior staff at V1TV said the Television Station shared the same joy and objective of team Dogboe, especially the wish of the Togbe Badu Royal House of Anyako to ensure that the competitive content would be enjoyed by every household in Volta, Ghana and beyond.

“This is a content worthy of broadcast and VITV will ensure to broadcast it within the high standard of broadcast quality in collaboration with RSTV, Rising Star Africa Promotions and Togbe Badu House of Anyako,” he stated.

Mr Anku said a giant screen would be mounted at the Njfodjo Park in Ho to give residents a night of exciting entertainment on December 08.

Mr Foster Enam Dagadu, Volta Regional President, Ghana Boxing Association commended V1TV for the foresight and called for support to promote boxing in the Region.

He later launched a “NEHOMUSTWIN” hashtag for use on all social media platforms in support of Dogboe
