First-half goals by Joseph Esso and Anthony Quayson handed Hearts of Oak a 2-0 victory over Agona Fankobaa in a friendly encounter played on Sunday at the Swedru Stadium.
Hearts made an impressive start as they took the lead in the 12th minute. Joseph Esso hit a strike from 40 yards which beat the Fankobaa goalkeeper.
The Phobians doubled their lead courtesy Anthony Quayson. The forward had been denied several times before scoring in the 40th minute.
Fankobaa had a great opportunity to reduce the deficit in the second half via penalty spot but were denied by goalkeeper Richmond Ayi, who produced a great save.
Thereafter the two sides created decent chances of their own but failed to utter the scoreline as the match ended 2-0 in the Phobians favour.
