Italian Serie A side SS Napoli have joined the race to sign midfielder Alfred Duncan from US Sassuolo in the ongoing winter transfer window.
The Ghanaian enforcer has become one of the most sought-after players in the ongoing winter transfer window following his impressive first half of the season performance for the Neroverdi.
The 25-year-old was heavily linked with a return to Inter Milan in the January window before city rivals AC Milan tried to hijack the move but the Rossoneri's initial loan offer was rebuffed by the Mapei Stadium outfit.
But according to reports from Corriere dello Sport, Napoli are looking to take advantage of the situation by signing the Ghanaian as they aim to bolster their midfielder following imminent departure of Marko Rog and Amadou Diawara.
The renowned portal claimed that the Partenopei conducted a scouted the player during their last week's Coppa Italian win against Roberto De Zerbi's side at the San Paolo.
