Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng has expressed disappointment on his debut for Barcelona following their 2-0 defeat against Sevilla in the Copa Del Rey on Wednesday evening.
It has been a whirlwind few days for Boateng after he was only confirmed a Barcelona player on Tuesday afternoon and by Wednesday night was lining up in the starting XI as the Blaugrana visited the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium to engage Sevilla in Copa Del Rey first leg.
The forward couldn’t help his new team mates return home with a win as Sevilla exhibited one of the best performances of the season to win 2-0.
Boateng was replaced with Luis Suarez in the 63rd minute as Ernesto Valverde's men went in search of redemption in the final embers of the game.
In the wake of the match, the 31-year-old Ghana international, who had a debut to forget, could not hide his disappointment though he says the feeling was special.
“My debut was a special feeling but I'm angry and sad for the result," Boateng told reporters.
