Assistant coach of Danish side Nordsjaelland, Masud Didi Dramani is set to be appointed as one of the assistant coaches of the Black Stars in the coming hours following the sacking of Maxwell Konadu, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The former deputy technical director of the Ghana FA has been contacted to beef up the Black Stars backroom staff ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament to be held in June.

Dramani will join Ibrahim Tanko on the bench of the team at the tournament in Egypt.

The change comes as a major shock for Konadu who was angling for the opportunity to work at the tournament in Egypt as the Black Stars seek to end their trophy drought.

Last week when Ghanasoccernet.com announced the decision of Konadu on the verge of being removed he was assured by the authorities that he will stay in his position only to be hit with the news one week later.

The former national under-17 female coach, Didi Dramani took over from Maxwell Konadu at Asante Kotoko in 2012 after GFA appointed Konadu as Black Stars assistant gaffer.

The Black Stars have qualified for their eighth straight time since 2006 and will face Kenya in the last qualifying game in March to decide who tops Group F.

Ghana has not won the AFCON title since 1982 and have managed to feature in two finals in the last decade.
