Black Queens coach Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo was left satisfied with his side's performance in their goalless draw against Cote d’Ivoire in the ongoing WAFU Zone B Women’s Championships on Monday.

Ghana failed to win their 3rd consecutive game in the tournament after dispatching Senegal (2-0) and Togo (6-0) in their two previous matches.

The Queens dominated proceedings however they failed to find the back of the net but according to the 45-year-old gaffer she was content with the display of her players on the day.

“I was very impressed with the player because they were tactically disciplined. We played the entire first half in the half of the Ivorians and had it not been the rain, we would have scored about three goals," she said.

"We did everything we had to do including hitting the crossbar but we could not. All the same, I am content with the result we got.”

The result placed Ghana in second place in Group A behind Cote d’Ivoire despite the two teams being on 7 points due to the Ivorians superior goal difference.

Ghana will face either Nigeria or Mali in the quarterfinals of the competition. The two nations will face each other on Tuesday to determine who finishes top of Group B.
