Former Asante Kotoko defender Awal Mohammed has sounded a word of caution to the management of Asante Kotoko on the transfer policy of the club.
Awal who currently plies his trade for Al Ansar Club in Saudi Arabia cautioned management not to sign players for just their one season performance but rather have a good policy on signing players.
The Porcupine Warriors are reportedly in talks with Karela FC for the signature of their striking duo Diawesie Taylor and Sarfo Taylor.
“Asante Kotoko shouldn’t buy a season player but should rather opt for young and energetic guys who have been consistent.
“They must look for players who have been consistent with their performance,” he said.
He also warned the management not to listen to the media when recruiting and releasing players.
“The management should not listen to the media reports in adjudging ins and outs at the club.”
