Ghana have missed out on receiving a whopping US$1 million after failing to progress to the quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars were set to receive the said amount should they have qualified to the next stage of the competition.
The four-time Champions exited the competition after losing 5-4 on penalties to Tunisia.
As part of CAF’s incentives to participating teams, quarter-finalists would receive US$1 million, an amount which elopes the Black Stars after failing to make it among the final eight.
Ghana prior to the defeat to Tunisia had made it to the semi-finals in the last six editions of the competition, reaching the finals in 2010 and 2015.
