Founder and Leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah has called for the sacking of coach Kwesi Appiah following Ghana’s elimination from the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars dream of ending the country’s 37-year wait for a trophy was dashed on Monday after losing 5-4 on penalties to Tunisia in the Round of 16 after playing out a 1-1 draw in 120 minutes.
The outspoken man of God leveled the blame on the doorsteps of coach Kwesi Appiah who he believes is not fit to lead the senior national team.
“I feel Kwesi Appiah is the problem, he’s not firm at all. He has a strong technical team behind him but I don’t know why he’s not doing well with the team. He was very poor with some of the substitutions he made in the tournament. He’s not firm and the tournament exposed his incompetencies. I like him very much, and I would have loved he’s maintained, but we need a better coach to handle the Black Stars,” he told sit-in host Akwesi Nsiah on Anopa Kasapa on
