Presidential aspirant of Ghana Football Association(GFA), George Afriyie, says he will be a fool to have confident in the way the Normalization Committee(NC) is handling the affairs of football in the country.
According to the former GFA vice president, there is no clear destination the NC is taking Ghana football to, as there is no clear road map. He said this must be a worry for ‘football people’.
“I will be a fool to say am very confident with what is happening now. I mean nobody knows what is happening. Trust me, we don’t have a road map. We don’t know what is coming up and we don’t know what the decisions are.”
“Well I’m here and I am focusing on CAF duties but when I get back, we will see what the arrangements are and we will know what the plans are. Then I will have to interact with the football people back at home,” He told Asempa FM.
He also asked his fellow football administrators to rally behind him for them to take charge of running football in the country again.
“Whether you like it or not, we love our football. Things are not the best as I speak now and I think that the earlier we get our football back on truck, the better for everybody,” he added.
