The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) have confirmed the date for the 2019 President Cup scheduled to take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium between Asante Kotoko vs Hearts of Oak.
The match was scheduled to take place earlier on 1st September 2019 but has been postponed to 8th September.
According to the Chairman of GHALCA, Kudjoe Fianoo, the decision to postpone was arrived at after Accra Hearts of Oak requested for time to prepare well for the game.
Two of Ghana’s biggest clubs, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have agreed to play each other in what promises to be another breathtaking game.
Speaking in an interview Kudjoe Fianoo said, “This year’s presidential cup is a battle between Strike and Umbro, who owns the best and beautiful kits in Ghana.”
“Hearts and Kotoko have agreed to play and the date have been finalized on September 8th, 2019 at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium”, Mr Fianoo confirmed.
The League Clubs Association have promised to fulfil their promise to pay both clubs 50% of their appearance fees before the match day.
