Accra Hearts of Oak have become the latest club to benefit from the charitable works of the owner of sports apparel dealers, Ashlid.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Alajo-based firm, on Wednesday, October 15, presented ten branded footballs, football bags and packs of water to the club at its secretariat in Accra.

The gesture according to Frederick Agaglo, forms part of his commitment to ensuring that players and clubs in the country are exposed to quality footballs and materials.

He revealed that in the past few years he has made donations to some of the regional football associations as well some division one and two clubs.

“Hearts of Oak is one of the biggest clubs in Ghana and we are happy to be establishing this relationship. We have been providing balls for almost all the clubs in Ghana except for Hearts and Kotoko. But we think it is time for them to use some of our branded balls so we can have a business relationship in the future”.

Receiving the items on behalf of his club, the CEO of Accra Hearts of Oak Frederick Moore indicated his excitement with the gesture and assured that the club will put the materials to good use.

While conveying his message of gratitude, Frederick Moore appealed to fans and other corporate organizations to emulate the works of Ashlid.

“We are really pleased that you brought us these items. Most of the time it’s people who ask but this time Ashlid have come to present items to us so we are hoping that people will do that”, he said.

The donation to Hearts, comes on the back of a similar one to Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
