Azam FC goalkeeper Razak Abalora has expressed delight over his maiden call up to Ghana’s senior national team, The Black Stars.
The former West African Football Academy goalkeeper was included in Kwesi Appiah’s 23-man squad for Ghana’s 2021 African Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome next month.
Speaking to Ashh FM on his call up, Razak revealed he wasn’t surprised with the call up because he deserved a place in the team.
“It was a great feeling when I saw my name in the final 23 man squad because it’s every player’s dream to be in the National team”
“I’m not surprised about the call up because I know I deserve a place in the team due to my performance”
Razak also vowed to do his best and get a permanent spot in the team.
“I know all the goalkeepers in the team and I’m the best among them in the squad because I know myself”
“I will give my best to the team and I know my performance will keep me in the team when I get the opportunity to start for the National team” He added.
