President of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has praised the Black Stars following their impressive outing against the Bafana Bafana in the opening game of the 2021 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
Ghana put up a spectacular performance to beat South Africa 2-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday evening with goals from Thomas Partey and debutant Kudus Mohammed.
The victory was praised by many Ghanaians including the number one gentleman of the land who was in South Africa on an official assignment.
"Great performance by the Black Stars this evening, and a throughly deserved victory against South Africa", Akuffo Addo tweeted just after the match.
"Very proud of the players, technical and management teams. Next stop, São Tomé and Príncipe. Kudos also to the Black Meteors.
"#BringBackTheLove #AFCON2019", he added.
Ghana will next play Sao Tome and Principe in the second game of the Qualifiers in a match match slated for Monday November 18, 2019.
