The Black Stars are on another AFCON qualifying assignment against Sao Tome at the National Stadium of São Tomé.
The Stars head into this game on high confidence after their 2-0 victory over the Bafana Bafana of South Africa last Thursday in Cape Coast.
Sao Tome suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat at the hands Sudan and will be eyeing a respectable result against the four-time winners.
Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has brushed aside talks of his team underrating their opponent.
“We won’t underrate the strength of São Tomé. African football is of age and you can only underestimate your opponents at your own peril. I don’t think it’s going to be an easy game. I don’t believe in what people think; that São Tomé does not have a good team”.
Kwesi Appiah has made just one change in the team that played on Thursday. Samuel Owusu has taken the place of Alfred Duncan who started that game.
Ghana are eyeing 100% start to the qualifiers with a win today guaranteeing six points from two games.
Ghana’s starting 11
Richard Ofori, Andy Yiadom, Gideon Mensah, Kassim Nuhu, Joseph Aidoo, Iddrisu Baba, Thomas Partey, Andre Dede Ayew, Samuel Owusu, Jordan Ayew, Emmanuel Boateng
