LA Liga outfit UD Levante won't be under any obligation to fulfil their contract with striker Raphael Dwamena if the Ghanaian international is declared incapacitated.

The 24-year old forward is still awaiting medical tests, although the granota club have ruled out leaving him helpless in case he hangs his boots.

The Ghanaian, who last summer left on loan to Real Zaragoza, has been forced to temporarily quit football due to a heart problem that seriously threatens his sports career.

The initial medical reports received on Dwamena's illness are not encouraging although the player resists throwing in the towel and is still awaiting further medical tests.

Meanwhile, his parent club Levante who have a contract with him until 2022 are also preparing for the different circumstances that may arise in the coming months and the Orriols entity already knows that, in case the permanent incapacity for the attacker is declared, it will be exempt from fulfilling the rest of its contract.

Zaragoza have already brought in Dwamena's replacement.

Striker Javi Puado arrived on Monday and has already undergone the relevant medical examination.

The Aragonese club has reached an agreement with Espanyol to sign the young striker on loan until June 30.

The Catalan attacker, a Spanish U21 international, occupies the place left by Dwamena.
