Former Ghana international Augustine Arhinful has issued a rallying call to the GFA on behalf of local coaches, insisting there are enough competent ones available to handle the Black Stars.
The Ghana Football Association has dissolved the technical setup of all national teams, a development that has triggered the exit of Kwesi Appiah as Black Stars head coach.
The process to appoint a new coach is well underway, with a debte seemingly emerging as to whether a local or foreign coach should be appointed.
Augustine Arhinful, a possessor of a CAF License A coaching certificate believes
that we have a pool of tactically astute local coaches who are very much capable of handling the Black Stars very well.
He buoyantly expressed this and urged the football authorities to trust local coaches.
“I believe we have more than enough competent coaches for the role, those appointing just needs to trust local coaches,” he told Accra based Asempa FM.
