The national Under-23 team, the Black Meteors will now leave tomorrow evening for Bangladesh for a 12-day international football tournament instead of Tuesday as previously announced.
Mr Kojo Fianoo, Welfare Officer of the team, said in Accra on Sunday that all the 18 players, invited for the championship, should therefore report at the Liberty Court Hotel in Accra by 8.00 am on Monday.
The players are; Osei Boateng (Olympics), Yaw Berko (Liberty Pros.), Alex Djanie, (Power F/C), Kofi Amoako (Goldfields), Felix Yeboah (Power F/C) and Hamza Mohammed (RTU).
Others are: Godwin Ablordey, (Kotoko), Shilla Alhassan (RTU), Abdul Razak (Dwarfs), Dennis Boateng (Afienya), Baba Adams (Kotoko), Osei Kwame (Bofoakwa) and Joe Sam (Dwarfs).
Thed rest are: Kwame Ali (Olympics), Eric Nii Armah (Dwarfs), Johnson Eklu (Okwawu), Nana Arhin Duah (Goldfields) and Michael Essien (Liberty Pros.) The stand-by palyers are Michael Osei (Dwarfs), Kwame Frimpong (Liberty Pros.) and Razak Pimpong (Olympics).
Ghana will be participating alongside hosts, Bangladesh, Brazil, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Nepal, Uzbekistan, South Korea and Thailand in the championship, starting from Friday, August 27 to Tuesday, September seven.
The tourney is in honour of the late leader of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibar Rahman, who was killed in a coup in 1975.
