Accra, June 20, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has sent a message of congratulations to the Black Stars following their historic win over the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the World Cup qualifier over the weekend.
A statement issued and signed by Mr Kofi Nsiah, General Secretary of the GFA copied to the GNA Sports said while acknowledging the great feat of the Stars, "We would like to thank the Ministry of Education and Sports, Goldfields Ghana Limited, Guinness Ghana Limited, TV3 and Ghana Television (GTV) for supporting the team in diverse ways to enable us move closer to our qualification to the World Cup".
In a related development, Guinness Ghana Limited has also sent its congratulations to the team for the sweet victory over their South African counterparts. The alcoholic beverage company will in conjunction with La Palm Beach provide refreshment for the team on their arrival at the Kotoko International Airport on Monday evening.
