Young Africans coach Luc Eymeal has disclosed the reasons why he was keen on signing Bernard Morrison.

GHANAsoccernet.com exclusively revealed on Wednesday that the 26-year-old has penned with Tanzanian giants Young Africans.

During the side’s build up to the match against rivals Azam FC, which was called off due to torrential downpour in Dar es Salaam, the Young Africans Belgian tactician was quizzed on why he broke the bank to sign the Ghanaian midfielder.

“I have worked with him, I worked with him at AS Vita and he is a good player, I have also watched him in South African league and he fits the kind of players I need to help Yanga do well,” Eymeal told Goal.

Morrison left AshantiGold SC to join DR Congo giants AS Vita Club in August 2015 after an excellent first round campaign in the Ghana Premier League where the Miners went ahead to clinch the ultimate at the end of the season.

After one season in Kinshasa, the talented forward was signed by South African heavyweights Orlando Pirates in July 2016.

Morrison parted ways with the Buccaneers in 2018 to join DC Motema Pembe but failed to live to up expectation.

The former Heart of Lions star returned Ghana to have a short stint with Skyy FC before heading to the Eastern Africa nation.
