At the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra, Dansoman-based Liberty Professionals surrendered an early lead to bow 2-1 to visiting Power FC in their 10th week GT Premier league match. Peter Ofori Quaye's half hour mark finish gave Liberty a rear lead after Power had dominated the early exchanges.

Quaye who took his goal haul to three pounced on a rebound from Michael Helegbe to place the ball beyond Power's goalkeeper, Cudjoe Addo with an admirable composure. Liberty from then dictated the pace of the game with amazing brilliance from the middle where Mustapha Essuman remained a tower of strength and coordinated the middle with series of set ups with the attack.

At a time Liberty seemed to be heading for a second goal, Awudu Adama pulled Power even on the 35th mark by squeezing the ball past Liberty's keeper, Patrick Antwi from a tight angle after he exploited a miscalculation by defender Bawa Mumuni. Helegbe wasted Liberty's opportunity to shoot ahead when his kick taken from the spot, following a foul by Osei Joseph, was saved by keeper Cudjoe to keep Power in the game with a few minutes left to the recess.

Earlier Quaye was gifted with a free head to increase the score with only seven minutes from the break but the former international star dismayed many when he missed widely to keep the score line unchanged. Both teams intensified their search for the winner, which eventually came the way of Power with seven minutes to end proceedings when Addoquaye Addo's shot deflected on a Liberty defender, to give Power the maximum three points.
