Faisal To Honour Home Matches At Len Clay

Following the closure of the Baba Yara sports stadium on August 1, Kumasi-based King Faisal football club has adopt new venues for the remaining soccer season. The chief executive officer of the club, George Amoako who disclosed this said, the cub will be honouring their remaining home league games at the Obuasi Len Stadium.

King Faisal is also the only surviving Ghanaian team in the CAF Inter Clubs competition, the Confederation Cup. The CEO said considering the cost involve, Faisal will be playing their two home games against AS Marsa and FAR of Tunisia and Morocco respectively at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra.

George Amoako believes this changes will bring a lot of inconvenience to his teeming supporters but there is nothing he and his management can do as the closure of the Baba Yara Stadium is in the best interest of the country because every Ghanaian is looking forward for a colourful CAN 2008 which the country will bring the rest of Africa to its door-step.
