Bechem United proved too strong for Liberty Professionals as they beat them 2-1 in Week 11 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League on Thursday afternoon.
Bechem United went into the match with the aim of quickly bouncing back from their last-minute defeat against Hearts of Oak last Sunday.
The Hunters started the match brightly by having chunk of the ball possession before going ahead in the 6th minute through Moro Salifu.
It was a brilliant goal by the youngster who was superbly set up by Prince Adu Kwabena’s back-heel flick to send their fans at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park into frenzy mood.
The Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park erupted again after Abdulai Karim scored with a glancing header in the 40th minute to hand the hosts a 2-0 advantage.
Liberty Professionals commenced the second half in a spirited fashion as they went in search of a goal after coach David Ocloo made host of changes to the side.
He brought on Elvis Kyei Baffour in place of Abass Nuhu, and also De-Graft Amponsah for George Amoako.
But the hosts managed to quell off their incessant attacks with some magnificent defending.
However, the visitors’ improved performance paid dividends as they pulled a goal back in the 79th minute through George Ansong.
Bechem held off the visitors late charge to run away with the three points.
The result has put Bechem United on 7th place with 17 points while Liberty remain 13th with 13 points after 11 round of matches.
