Veteran football administrator Jonathan Abbey Pobi has expressed his displeasure about the Ghana Football Association's failure to pay Ghana Premier League referees after match day 15 in full.
The GFA has announced plans to pay referees of the Ghana Premier League part of the monies owed them.
According to the FA, Referees in the league will pocket four match days allowance this week.
It is believed that the referees have only received allowances for only four match days, despite handling games till match day 15.
In an interview with Koforidua based Bryt FM, Mr Pobi rated the performance of the Ghana FA low as he believes he has not lived up to expectations.
“Bribery in our game bound down to referees because during the Nyantakyi’s era, referees were not paid and I think that propelled them to take bribe. We have played 15 league matches, and so for Kurt Okraku to pay only four match days means he is encouraging bribery and corruption back into our game” he said.
