The Manhyia Palace have asked the Ghana Football Association to grant them two weeks to confirm the formation of Asante Kotoko's board, according to reports in Kumasi.
According to the Kumasi based Radio Oyerepa FM, Kotoko's highest governing body are yet to furnish the FA with the club's board, which is a requirement by the Club Licensing Board.
Last week, Oyerepa FM reported that Asante Kotoko through Manhyia Palace had written to the GFA citing the coronavirus Pandemic and it's lock down as reasons why they are yet to affirm names of those who will make up the board of directors.
They are also reporting that a letter from Manhyia Palace asked for a 2 week grace period because the Palace is locked and within this time, the chief of staff will meet the designated members to undergo the necessary formalities.
Source close to management of the club revealed to Oyerepa FM Sports that Dr.Kyei after doing the needful to submit the names was advised by His Royal Majesty through the office of the Chief of staff that he will let the chief of staff meet with them before they are inaugurated.
