Hearts of Oak legend Mohammed Polo says his former outfit needs a coach with pedigree if they are to chalk successes in subsequent years.
After a difficult start in the 2019/2020 league season, the Rainbow boys sacked Coach Kim Grant and handed the job to his assistant Edward Nii Odoom.
Before the suspension of the league, Hearts were occupying 9th position with 21 points.
Polo in an interview expressed that his former club need to appoint a coach with a high pedigree and is of the view that, the club must stop hiring cheap coaches.
According to him, he is not surprise with the Phobians position on the table as he believes the current coach falls below the club’s standards.
“Hearts is not a small team; Hearts needs a coach with a pedigree, a coach with clout” he said.
“I don’t know what they saw before giving him (Edward Odoom) the job. What he can do is what he’s doing. Those who gave him the job they have eyes, if you want cheap things, you will get cheap results” Polo barked.
Mohammed Polo had a short stint with Hearts of Oak as Coach between 2013 and 2014.
