Former Ghana international Augustine Arhinful has stated emphatically that, Ghana will need destiny before it can lay its hands on the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) again.
According to him, the 38 years after winning the AFCON isn’t something good but strongly believes it will take fate for the country to achieve such a great success again.
“For me as a person, I believe God has a purpose for everyone including Ghana and when it comes to soccer, if it’s our destiny to win the AFCON again, we will surely win it. When you are destined to be somewhere, nothing can stop you.” He averred.
Citing 2010 world cup which was hosted in South Africa as an example, Augustine Arhinful stated that, Ghana lost the quarter final game because the country wasn’t destined to beat Uruguay.
“I have always believed in destiny, but we need to work at it to make it a reality” he said.
