After missing out on the MTN FA Cup and a slot to the CAF Confederation Cup next season, Asante Kotoko captain Felix Annan says the team has targeted the league title in order to qualify for Africa next season.
Asante Kotoko have represented Ghana in Africa club competition for the past two seasons but are likely to miss out next season.
The Porcupine Warriors lost to Division One side Asokwa Deportivo in the FA Cup to miss out on next season’s Confederation Cup and now have only one slot to Africa.
Felix Annan in an interview said the only chance to Africa is to win the Ghana Premier League when it returns from the break.
“When you play for Asante Kotoko the target is to win the league every season. The target never changes, we want to get back to Africa and this is the only way after missing out on the FA Cup”, he told Happy FM.
Asante Kotoko before the suspension of the league due to the Coronavirus outbreak were placed fourth with 25 points.
