Former AC Milan and Barcelona forward, Kevin-Prince Boateng has admitted that he wants to contribute to the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic by organizing a fund raising match.
The 33 year old feels that he and other players should be at the forefront during the battle against the deadly disease.
"We think we should be at the forefront as players. We are famous people. Our position in society makes us a role model. In a way, We are very lucky.We have a different status in the society after the financial return of our work. We should be a role model in terms of contributing," he told the Besiktas media team.
"I would like to have a chance to organize a match. Singers are lucky in this sense. Alone, that type of organizations can be held. Actors take responsibility, role models it is necessary."
Boateng is currently in self isolating in his home due to the Coronavirus.
